THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PROJECT-BASED LEARNING (PBL) FOR ENGINEERING STUDENTS IN ESP CLASS

Teaching English for Specific Purpose (ESP) non-English Department students is challenging yet exciting since the teacher required to be more creative in creating a teaching and learning strategy. The use of Engineering necessary support capability their hard soft skills. In ESP class, learn about vocabulary skills terms other such as writing, reading, speaking, listening. Those are learned correspondingly through some activities using applicable strategies Project Based Learning (PBL). PBL introduced an educational approach focused on student-centered method. PBL, given opportunities explore capabilities, build confidence, improve motivation prepare themselves real work life. This research used literature review supportive evidence measure efficiency Civil semester 1 2021/2022 academic year. Journals, books, proceeding computer electronic databases basis data collection. result found that effective interesting suitable Students compared traditional lecture-based approaches. Moreover, appropriate gain extensive knowledge concepts intriguing activity enhances student’s confidence real-world projects future.
